Germantown’s Romantic Boutique Hotel

Tons of people flock to Nashville for the country music bar scene and bachelorette parties. There are also a lot of people who are looking for a romantic getaway. People who want something quiet, with the option of making it lively, delectable restaurants near by, and an area that is visually pleasing, like beautiful victorian style buildings. That’s what I needed – so Chase and I decided to stay in Germantown for our birthday’s last year. Germantown is quiet, charming, and centrally located.

Germantown Inn

I landed on Germantown Inn, a boutique hotel that had opened just a couple of months before our stay in February. I honestly thought we were in the wrong area as we pulled into Germantown. Here we were, in this cute little neighborhood and a hotel is here? But our address matched the historical brick building built in the 1800s (!) that looked like a cozy home, with a black fence, a big tree, and outdoor string lights that set the mood. I was in love.

Hotel Style

While they completely renovated the building, they did a phenomenal job leaving some of that historical charm behind for the guests to appreciate. From the fireplaces in the bedrooms, to exposed brick, to beautiful wood floors upstairs. My favorite part: the rugs! Germantown Inn had colorful, boho style rugs, different in every room.

Germantown Inn is perfect for a romantic getaway because it truly is intimate like a bed and breakfast because there are only six rooms available.

Checking In

How do I know this is the most perfect hotel, you ask? We were greeted with wine as we checked in. Who wouldn’t be happy about that? We shared a glass with the other guests before we were escorted on a tour of the building and brought to our room, The Monroe. The hanging chandelier added an extra dose of delight to the room. Once we made it to our room, there was a card and birthday cupcakes waiting for us, which made my day (thank you, Sue!!).

Breakfast

We were greeted with sunlight as we made our way downstairs for breakfast – pastries & coffee. Simple and sweet, we enjoyed it. Still hungry? There are a ton of breakfast restaurants near by. 🙂

Location

As mentioned earlier, I felt like Germantown Inn was centrally located. We were surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops that we could easily get to on foot (2-5 minutes). Since this was my first time in Nashville (can’t wait to go back), we made sure to head to downtown Nashville so I could experience the craziness of Broadway. It was only a 20-30 minute walk. Another fun part of town is East Nashville, a more urban/eclectic side of town (more of our vibe) and there are ton of bars within walking distance of each other. Everything you need to have a good time is within several miles of the Germantown Inn!

This Do Not Disturb sign was one of my favorite things in the hotel, hehe.

A couple more rugs – aren’t they beautiful?

I cannot wait to visit Nashville again, hopefully we will be heading there at the end of July! They have such a great food scene, I’ll be highlighting a few in the coming weeks.

If you missed last week’s post – here you go!

Hope your Sunday is relaxing.
